What is it?
Our mission is to provide a safe, fun, and enriching out of school environment for students after the school day. We aim for children to participate in recreational, vocational, and social programs which will allow for creativity and constructive use of their leisure time in a safe environment. This program is open to children in kindergarten through 5th grade. This program includes transportation from your child's USD 290 school to Sunflower Elementary.
You have the opportunity to sign up for: Monday - Friday by semester or by month, OR, Fridays only by semester. The cost is $6 per day Monday-Thursday and $10 per Friday.

What is it?
6.7.8 Era is monthly events for kids in 6th - 8th grades. 6.7.8 Era is important to us because we feel that there are not enough activities for this age group. We love to find a mix of activities that will fit a variety of youth as well as challenge them to try new things. We focus on fun, educational, and real-life skills! Some activities are in the Goppert building, some are in town, and some we leave town for.
Activities: We like to plan many different activities; we have done Cosmic Bowling, Top Golf, chick-fil-a, dodgeball tournament, photoshoot, Monarch's Baseball Games, Mario Kart Tournament, Pool Party, etc...
Ages: 6th, 7th, and 8th grades
Price: $5 - $40
What is it?
This is a quarterly activity for grades Kindergarten - 8th grade. We provide a fun activity for your kids, so you can take a couple hours to yourself!
Activity: The activity varies, we have done caramel apples, pumpkin painting, scavenger hunts, bingo, etc...
Price: $10 - $35
Ages: Kindergarten - 8th grade
What is it?
Kids Camps are camps we host for k-5th graders on school days off throughout the school year. We fill our days with fun activities in the community, in the gym, and out an about on field trips.
3 yearly Kids Camps:
October Camp: A single camp day in October where we take the kids the Gieringer's Family Orchard & Berry Farm where we pick pumpkins, play in corn, climb jungle gyms, and lunch and donuts.
Turkey Camp: The three days before Thanksgiving we host a Kids camp full of fun activities for the kids. Outdoor play, indoor play, and field trips.
Spring Break Camp: Sign up for a full week of camp where we bus the kids around to all the community spring break events!
Summer Camps
Registration: Weekly ($130), full summer package ($1170)
Dates: May 26 - July 31(Monday - Friday, except holidays)
Times: 7:30am - 5:30pm
Ages: (going into) 1st grade - 6th grade
1st - 3rd Grade Camp
This camp is for students who will be going into 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade in the coming year! We have planned a fun filled camp appropriate for this age group! We have many fun trips planned. For trips that are in town, students will ride our 12 - 15 passenger vans driven by at Summer Camp Lead Counselor; for trips that are out of town, students will ride a school bus driven by a school bus driver!
Fieldtrip examples: Up and Away, Gierngers Farm, OMA Movies, The Rink, Splash Pads, The Ottawa Pool, Deanna Rose Farmstead, Kansas Children's Discovery Center, and so much more...
Activity examples: dodgeball, kickball, coloring, puzzles, para chute games, recess, firetruck spray down, group games, football, soccer, and so much more...
4th - 6th Grade Camp
This camp is for students who will be going into 4th, 5th, or 6th grade in the coming year! We have planned a fun filled camp appropriate for this age group! We have many fun trips planned. For trips that are in town, students will ride our 12 - 15 passenger vans driven by at Summer Camp Lead Counselor; for trips that are out of town, students will ride a school bus driven by a school bus driver!
